No. Every brief is educational research. We deliberately never recommend buying, selling, or holding a security. The disclaimer at the bottom of each brief is the legal anchor — it's a fixed string we don't paraphrase per page.
Why pay for this when I can use ChatGPT or Claude?
You can. A general-purpose model answers from memory and will tell you what you want to hear. Willow is a paid research seat: it pulls licensed filings, prices, and news on a company you open, stays two-sided, and never issues a verdict. The brief is a command on that seat, not the product.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources: SEC EDGAR filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), earnings call transcripts, TTM fundamentals, daily price action, and recent news. Every claim in a brief links back to the source it leans on.
How accurate is the AI synthesis?
The model is instructed to ground every paragraph in the supplied sources, never to invent figures, and to publish a two-sided bull and bear view on every brief. Each output runs through a forbidden-language validator before it is saved — it cannot use directional words like buy or sell even if it tries.
Why both bull and bear on every brief?
One-sided takes are the worst kind of investing content. We require both cases on every brief, every time. If a brief cannot make a credible opposing case, that is usually a signal the situation is not as clean-cut as it appears.
